When the space is small, you have to make the most of every design element to make sure it meets the project goals for utility – without sacrificing good design aesthetic. The biggest challenge for this project was designing around the center-window situated between His & Hers lavatory bowls and the less than 8′-tall ceilings.
We designed a contemporary vanity that accommodated 4 operable drawers and a large shelf underneath where linens and other sundries could be stored in wicker baskets.
We were able to work the problematic center window into a 3 -panel design. The mirrored panels and transoms helped to reflect light and made the space look larger and brighter. We used a 3-M opaque film on the window to create needed privacy.
